An interesting game for Isidro Metapan (14-3) which played road game in Quezaltepeque against 4th ranked Quezaltepeque (11-7). Second ranked Isidro Metapan managed to get a 6-point victory 88-82. 25 personal fouls committed by Quezaltepeque helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Nicaraguan center Bartel Lopez (213-89) contributed with 11 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American center Darohn Scott (198-96, college: Cent Michigan) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds for Quezaltepeque. Quezaltepeque's coach William Avalos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Isidro Metapan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-3 record behind leader Santa Tecla. Quezaltepeque at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Isidro Metapan are looking forward to face league's leader Santa Tecla at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quezaltepeque will have a break next round.

At the losing side American Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Defending champion maintains eighth position with 6-11 record. Quezaltepeque at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Halcones will play against higher ranked Brujos Izalco (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Quezaltepeque will have a break next round.
Liga MB top team - Santa Tecla (15-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked 11 Lobos (3-14) 124-84. The winners were led by Yuniskel Molina who scored that evening 27 points. Even a double-double of 30 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists by Patrick Wrencher did not help to save the game for 11 Lobos. Santa Tecla have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. 11 Lobos lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 14 games lost. Santa Tecla will meet league's second-placed Isidro Metapan on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. 11 Lobos will have a break next round.
